She and Kay Lenz were rumoured to have been offered the part of the possessed girl Regan McNeil in the film ''The Exorcist''. Lenz declined because she was too old, as was Glendenning, and she had already signed to director Jim O'Connolly to film ''Tower of Evil'' (1972). The part went to Linda Blair instead. She has also appeared on television in series such as ''Dixon of Dock Green'', ''The Tyrant King'' and ''Ripping Yarns''. Possibly her most famous television role was the ''Blake's 7'' episode "Weapon", in which she played the beautiful former bond-slave Rashel.
